Should seniors work hard? Or should seniors be able to play around and kick back during their last year of high school? I think the colleges have a right to not accept a student if they aren't working hard. I think students should work hard til the end and if they want to play around they shouldn't be awarded for it. Colleges have every right to not accept a student if they don't fill the requirements when they are initially accepted. Why shouldn't they accept you? I'll give you two reasons. It's a part of growing up and if you were really serious about the success in your future, you wouldn't even think about slacking off at all.
If you don't work hard, where does it get you in life? Nowhere. graduating is your first big step into adult hood. Would you want to enter the adult world slacking off? Or working hard to get where you want to be? People say, well we were in school for twelve years, we need at least one year where we can play around. Well, nothing comes easy in life, life is not fair. You had your summer to do as you please. If colleges accepted people who are slacking off, it gives a wrong view on how life is. So when you get older, you're going to say at work, "Well i've been here for twelve years, can i have a year where i can take it easy?' You can bet your ass off your boss will say no.
If you were serious about your future, would you even think about slacking off at all? I doubt it. Many people use the excuse "its not what you know, its who you know" to try to "diss" education, saying they don't really need it. Though it's true to a certain extent, that won't get you everywhere. What happens when something would happen to your "connections" what then? You're stuck without anything. If you were really serious about your future, but also wanted to hang out and go to parties, you would find a way to do both, not just kick one to the curb.
A lot of teens these day's use the overblown phrase "work hard, play hard". The quote says it all. Work hard, and you'll eventually get to do what you want, and play around later. The quote speaks for itself, and if you were a senior that wants to have fun, use this motto. Work hard, and you will have your fun.
